North County Charter School 1st Grade Teacher
Born and raised here in Vero Beach, Ljubi has been a 1st grade teacher at North County Charter School for 4 years.
From a very young age, Ljubi knew she was meant to be in the classroom. When she was 11, she began taking karate lessons and, as she moved up the ranks, was able to help with the lower level classes. This was Ljubi’s first true taste of teaching and she loved it! She continues to teach martial arts in the evenings as well because she loves teaching so much. Her grandmother was a teacher in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she feels that part of her spirit is in her to keep that legacy going.
Ljubi’s passion is being in the classroom, bringing as much magic to learning as possible, and being surrounded by kids every day.
“They are the most forgiving and caring people on the planet and it’s nice to be surrounded by that in the crazy world we live in today.”
Ljubi prides herself on providing a well-rounded learning environment and making everyone feel welcome. This is reflected in her requested supplies which will provide her students with the opportunity to solidify and grow their knowledge through play rather than worksheets.
